Social Work Section

WELCOME

Welcome to the North Carolina Public Health Association’s Social Work Section! We are an active and committed group of public health social work professionals. Our section has monthly meetings (via conference calls) throughout the year to discuss topics relevant to our profession, Public Health and to plan educational sessions offered at the annual NCPHA Fall Educational Conference. We conduct one face to face business meeting at NCPHA’s Fall Educational Conference each year. Additionally, we actively raise funds for our section through various fundraising activities to benefit our Michael Clements Student Scholarship fund. We recruit and select one BSW or MSW student to apply for our Michael Clements Student Scholarship to attend the annual NCPHA Fall Educational Conference and to join our section. There are many ways to get involved and benefit from membership in our section. We welcome your energy and your ideas. Please see the information below on how to join and get involved. Your participation is essential for preserving the profession of public health social work in NC and for helping the residents in our state live happy and healthy lives. Individuals that should consider joining the Social Work Section include past, present and future public health social workers.
